The evening begins with an exciting historical walk at Fredriksten Fortress, led by one of the knowledgeable guides. Along the way, you will meet soldiers from the Fredriksten Artillery Company, dressed in authentic uniforms—and the experience is heightened when they fire both cannons and muskets.
After the walk, the evening continues in the historic Royal Halls, where you step into a genuine 18th-century atmosphere. Long tables are set here, and the meal is served just as it was back then:
- Food is placed on the table for communal serving
- Guests serve themselves
- Cutlery is set aside in favor of bread plates and linen cloths
Everything is arranged for an authentic and sensory journey through time, where the food, surroundings, and atmosphere take you back several hundred years.
