With winter at the door, we invite you in for an evening filled with flavors from the sea.
Coastal Evening at Fredriksten Hotel is our tribute to the Norwegian coast and all the goodness it has to offer.
From cold, clear waters come some of our very finest ingredients
– shrimp, crab, langoustines, shellfish, and fish gathered on a bountiful banquet table
in the middle of the historic Fredriksten Fortress.
This evening, we let the sea take the lead role
– but first, we start with a small glass of bubbles.
The Sea’s Banquet
A generous selection of delicacies from the sea awaits at the buffet.
Here you can serve yourself at your own pace and put together your own favorites, including:
fresh shrimp, langoustines, crab claws, stuffed crab shells, mussels, oysters, and scallops.
You will also find several of the kitchen’s own specialties such as:
cured salmon, smoked salmon, and beetroot-cured cod.
With the shellfish and fish, we serve
homemade sauces and dressings,
good sourdough bread, fresh salads, and carefully selected accompaniments
that let the pure flavors of the sea come into their own.
Throughout the evening, there will also be warm offerings
from the kitchen, including
our creamy fish soup
– warm, rich, and full of flavor from the sea.
