An Evening in the Heart of Piedmont – Winemakers Dinner with Matteo Poggio
🍇We are delighted to invite you to an exclusive Winemakers Dinner with Italian winemaker Matteo Poggio from Castel Boglione in Piedmont
The area is considered the very heart of Barbera production and holds the highest quality classification, DOCG, for wines made from the Barbera grape.
Here, the Poggio family has for generations dedicated their work to elevating quality in both vineyard and cellar, always with deep respect for terroir and tradition 🍇
The family has undergone a significant quality journey over the years. First with father Piercarlo and mother Giuseppina, later together with brother Gianluca, and now with Matteo himself, who after studies and international experience has continued the family’s uncompromising focus on quality. Under his leadership, new prestige wines have also been developed, including the elegant Nizza DOCG and the sparkling series “Le Bolle di Ariel,” produced using the traditional method
The kitchen is preparing a 3-course menu where Italian wine tradition meets the ingredients and quality we’re known for. The evening begins with a glass of sparkling wine followed by wines with history paired with the various courses – a total of 4 drinks will be served.

Starter: Langoustine tail served with fennel salad, shellfish bisque and crispy parsnip chips
Main course: Reindeer tenderloin served with creamy mashed potatoes, red wine sauce and sautéed vegetables
Dessert: Chocolate terrine served with raspberry and yogurt sorbet, caramel chocolate cream, oat crumble and meringue
